This exhibit celebrates the global art of headwrapping through a series of arresting photos of men and women donning vibrant headdresses from numerous spiritual, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds. Join us for an eye-opening and engaging opportunity to dive into world cultures and reconsider what it means to wear a headwrap or veil.
This exhibit was curated by Zarinah El-Amin Naeem, founder of Beautifully Wrapped, an organization devoted to sharing the beauty of international cultures and ethnicities through the art of headwrapping. On , Ms. Naeem will hold a hands-on workshop offering attendees the chance to learn the different styles and techniques of headwrapping featured in the exhibit.
