Chelsea District Library

Event Details

Are trees social beings? In the international bestseller, The Hidden Life of Trees, forester and author Peter Wohlleben convincingly makes the case that, yes, the forest is a social network. Take a walk in the woods at Robin Hills Farm for a scavenger hunt, then join us and educator Kent B. to learn about the various trees in our own backyard.

And Remember: Use the bathroom. Prepare for bugs! Wear sturdy, close-toed shoes. Beware of unknown plants!

Kent B earned his degree in physics from Albion College and has a passion for plants and bio-diversity. He spent 7 years teaching high school biology and math. On any given day, you'll find Kent exploring local nature trails or curled up with a good book.
